A) Yes, it is Nintendo's "right" to pathetically attempt to generate capital in the most asinine way possible - thereby alienating a bunch of their fans, decreasing the quality, if not the quantity (yet) of free advertising from basement dwelling neckbeards who live and breath their games. It probably won't work and it absolutely makes it clear how much deep shit the company is really in - but yeah, they have the right.
